Taupo Day Night Thriller 2009

A massive day of racing for the Jungle Team. The weather was suppsed to be crap but it turned out pretty mint - not too hot and not too wet. We had two teams enter and heaps of solo entries and a Little Devils entrant. Ruby Evans had a great ride in the Little Devils division - a small girl with a lot of guts and determination. It was a tough ride for anyone to complete but Ruby started the day by showing as all how it is done. Well done Ruby!! Team Two Chooks and a Rooster was the formidable force of Kate, Deb, Nic and Terry and pulled out a fourth place! Team Jungle Joobs was Greg, Slip, Alana and Rob and put in a solid effort. Solo entrants were Mac, Alvin, Phil, Nev, Gautier and Tori (the token chick). The boys all did about million laps each and really did incredibly well... It was Alvins first attempt but he gave it all he had as did all the rest of the blokes who showed us newbies how it was done! Gautier gets a special mention for his ride - the guy is simply unstoppable no matter how much his ride is sabotaged... sorry Gautier!! Thanks to all the supporters who made it and awesome day and special huge thank you to Sharon the amazing massage therapist - those hands worked wonders on our fatigued muscles!!
